Re: Hairdresser Time Again
You must be getting an old man - although men who drive cars like that always have fit wives
Slick machine though, I just cant get past my full on hatred of German cars.....
Daimler-Benz manufactured all of the trucks and plane engines that bombed the fuck out of everyone, and VW (who is audi) manufactured the V-1 doodle bugs which disturbed the south east populations sleep patterns a small tad bit. I find it ironic that WW2 resulted in 60 million deaths, now every one wants an Audi.
And those peace loving 60's hippies in their VW camper vans - there's serious irony in there somewhere. 5 or 6 decade ago I would have though you would have stirred up the neighbourhood buying into German metal.
Yet I am a hypocrite, as I buy and love Japanese cars

Re: Hairdresser Time Again
What's a good soul supposed to do in such a twisted world?
Maybe I find a little morality that at least the Japs took on the yanks - being the biggest war machine in the world.
They made a lot of money out of the great wars, with Standard Oil supplying fuel to the nazi war machine, only unplugging the supply in 1944. Let alone the supply of engineering components etc.
I would bloody love to buy a good British car.
Speaking of which how is your project going? Done anything to her?
Re: Hairdresser Time Again
Project? Oh that one.........
No, this project has been taking up my time lately

Re: Hairdresser Time Again
Kitchen fitting is really enjoyable and clean, I fitted bedrooms and kitchens for about 2 years for MFi about 10 years ago and now do the odd cash job here and there.
You have the same slim line dish washer as ours, except ours has stopped working and it's the bloody controller knob unit which is like £85 to replace

Re: Hairdresser Time Again
Your comment about dislike of the Germans and the irony of the 60s camper fad are interesting but do you realise who rebuilt the VW factory after the war and got it back into production?

Re: Hairdresser Time Again
So what's going on, Logi? It's all sounds a bit Life of Brian: the bit where Stan wants to be called Loretta. Have you decided that you no longer want to have babies? Or the right to have babies? Were you going to use the hairdresser cars for gestation? What do you regard as a manly car? Are we talking Aussie ute or a hummer, or do you have your eyes on a MPV? VW Caravelle, perhaps?
This might explain the kilt...

There's more than one thing could be said about that, but I'm a lady so I won't.
Hang on. We've been here before. The last time I had a go at winding you up I came off massively second best. I retire...
