lights trouble

Anyone know why my sidelights are on all the time even with light switch off and my brake lights dont work when ignition is on, but when ignition is off side lights work with switch and so do brake lights? Have cleaned battery earth but that hasnt worked. Thank you

Sounds like a trace it back from the lights till you find the break in the loom as it is shorting across somewhere.

What engine version is yours? 1.3 or 1.0, carb or efi?
If you tell me which yours is I'll look at the wiring diagram and give you some possible leads.
