engine price

I bought a hijet/grandmax ,had a knock infront damaging the radiator .Could not claim from warranty cause the car was driven overheated partly my fault I took the truck to the dealer I bought from ,they striped the whole engine told it cost R70 300.00 to fix about $10 000.00USD or a new engine will cost R127 000.00($12700.00USD when the car cost me R124 000.00($12400.00USD). i BELIEVE ONLY THE TOP WAS DAMAGED since the problem was loss of water resulting in over heating HELP!!

usually, the heads warp if overheated badly....

skim the head, new head gasket, and it should be fine........




as for what it would cost, that depends on how much YOU can do.....
