998 EFI distributer position
soooo it also seems that when i removed the dizzy that i did not mark where the arm was positioned once engine was TDC. i dont remember reading anywhere that i needed to do it.. ho hum!
so.. how do i get the dizzy aligned up again?
does anyone know what the firing order is for the 998 EFI 3 cyl?
i know that once the 1st cyl to fire is set i then need to position the arm in line with the contact inside the dizzy housing or to HT lead for cyl 1.
any ideas/tips?

Re: 998 EFI distributer position
Just had to do this today.
Looking at the cams the firing order seems to be 123.
Bring the engine to TDC on the ignition stroke of cylinder #1.
Insert the distributor base with the rotor arm sort of generally pointed at lead #1.
Fit the distributor cap and have someone crank the starter while you twist the entire assembly back and forth.
If the engine kicks and jerks at one end of the adjustment but refuses to run you need to pull the base out, move it one tooth and try again.
Once it's idling happily you can use the instructions in the partial manual from this site and time it up with a strobe light on the flywheel.
