Just a quick thank you to Woody. Parts arrived safely with me on Friday - expertly wrapped!! Customer service was top notch & happy to help attitude was a bonus. All in all a very satisfied customer who will be using Woody's services again in the near future I'm sure.

My Van is now in the safe hands of HJ  - who again has been most helpful with advice & now using his expertise to get my van running smoothly. The workshop looked mega!

All in all this forum has been a fantastic portal for the likes of me as a new Hi Jet owner.

All the best.

That's a relief to hear as I have nothing to compare it against. I hope its not to painful for you to work on - as I'm sure some vans must be a nightmare!  Shocked

This van has had a head gasket done on it in the past.

And it has has K seal put in it at some point - I believe before the previous head gasket job.

Which ever numpty did the head gasket, ruined the inlet manifold gasket as they fitted it, causing a massive intake air leak making the idle very very high.

Inlet manifold is off, flange cleaned up and about to fit a new inlet manifold gasket.

Also the rocket cover gasket leaks causing oil to drip onto the lambda sensor. Which will be resolved.

Also the thermostat was fitted at the wrong angle.

Also the radiator is battered.

Basically a collection of school boy errors  Wink

Hi HJ,

Thanks for the update. No wonder it was behaving the way it was! It also seemed to Idle / Hunt faster with the lights on or when you increased the fan blower in the cab?

Well I'm glad its in your very capable hands & thanks for the work put in so far.

 Very Happy
