Newbie looking for a Hijet

Hello everyone,

My name's Phil, but you can call me Monkey. I'm currently on the lookout for a Hijet with MOT and tax for about £500 (a difficult task, I realise). Preferably in North East England. I have some big plans for it but I'll get to all that a bit later. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Had a nice one in over the last few days that belongs to a forum member, and it was a right gem.

One of the most rust free vans I've seen, and he paid a smidge over your target budget.

I paid just £650 for mine and its pretty damn solid, tiny bit of bubble through but no welding needed for a good many years yet!

While I have seen vans people have paid way over a grand for and they have been rotten dogs.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Highlyjetted, I'm very familiar with rust having cut my teeth on Moggies and Minis and I'm aware that at £500 it's going to be one of my main issues. Just gotta keep my eyes open and be patient I suppose
