Hi folks

I've been a fan of micro vans for years - Bedford Rascals used to turn my head more than any other cars back when I was a teenager in the mid-90s.

I've never been in a position to own one but plan to get one to have a play with next year so I'm starting my research now.

Cheers
Phil

Welcome to the forum Phil! Any van in particular that you are looking at?

Likely to be a post 2000 HiJet - unsure of model number S80 is it?

Main requirements being rust-free in a structural sense.

Good choice, that is where there is most knowledge on this forum. Try and get a 1.3 petrol model as they seem to be the ones everyone on here knows about and it is quite common hear of people struggling to fix problematic diesels. Are you aware that the Piaggio Porter is the same van? Might help in your search Smile

Thanks all. Smile

If it's not freshandminty when I buy one it will be when I've finished.

Yes I know the porters are the same but they seem to be newer? (And ultimately more expensive) and a 1.3 petrol is the plan. Smile

Seems to be a fair few recent hijets/porters in Essex on ebay - that's where I got my '08 one from (cheap), so worth keeping an eye open there.
