replacing the steering wheel? Empty replacing the steering wheel?

hi, alien great website this, the manuals were a life saver! Just want to ask your advise about changing the steering wheel. Are they easy to remove and will i need a boss kit to fit a new one?? Any help would be most appreciated as not a mechanic just a girl trying to smarten up her hijet on the cheap!

The jet might not be the same as the Rascal........... But if it is then you will struggle to find a boss to fit. The way we got round this was to take the old wheel off, set fire to it! and then when all the plastic has burnt off, cut the centre part out and make it into a boss for your chosen steering wheel. I used a mini 10" wheel and once we cut the old wheel into a boss it looked like a factory fit!!.

There are pics on of the american guys posted up of his van that had a sports wheel can't remember if he says what make it is.
