Re: help door brocken
I'm way too far away being in cheshire.
But the door locking mechanism is a very simple setup that any half witted bodger should be able to solve.
I would start by taking the door card off, removing the locking mechanism at the rear edge of the door and test it catches ok.

Try lubing the lock? Is it the back of the door popping open?

Re: help door brocken
Sounds a bit of a daft question but has your door got the two locating tounges and plates held on with 10 mm headed bolts on the door and door pillar.??
Have a look at the other door to see if they are in place on that door as that one is presumably staying shut.

Re: help door brocken
So how is it then that the front pops open!!
The doors pop out at the rear first.

That's what I can't make out so that's why I asked about the locating plates at the front.

Re: help door brocken
How about posting a few pictures of the leading edge at the front of the door and the door post and how far the door pops out and wheter it is top or bottom that pops out furthest or first .Have you checked the condition of the upper door roller guide/track.? And check the condition of the two wheels on the top of the sliding arm and the lower sliding runner wheels on the bottom of the door. Take pictures of all those and post them on here for all to see and hopefully someone will spot the problem.

My money is on the upper guide adjustment where it fits to the door.

Re: help door brocken
been meaning to post but kept forgetting! my passenger side sliding door pops out at the front too, i put it down to the rollers needing replacing, the whole door is a bit grindy when i open and close and i have to be careful it doesn't fall off the runners, did adjust it as much as i could but haven't got round to sorting it properly yet!

Re: help door brocken
I fixed one a couple of weeks ago for a lad of this forum, I had to bend the runner back to some sort of normal shape, replace the bearings, and do some serious adjustment. Took a good hour of faffing about with it.
Re: help door brocken
I dont think mine will ever be right ,the door runners are to damaged for a start, but at least it stays shut ,although there is still a small gap , I want to use the van for sleeping in and thinking i will have to use the back door and put a handle on it to close it, I will cut some sort of hole in the door card to access the cable to open the door.

Re: help door brocken
If you get a gap when closed the lugs (tongues and receivers) on the front edge of the door probably are not setup correctly.
Re: help door brocken
ill have a look, its only a small gap at the top now
