Yeah I've used other peoples ones of them, and they are a bit hit and miss. Some of the blue tooth modules don't seem to work very well with the obd2 protocols, and the blue tooth communication protocols are poorly implemented.

The various android software downloads are a bit amateur. But I believe there is a better one for Iphones, but I've never tried it.

I came across an app to make a scanner using your phone first I had seen of it thought it a good idea for someone like me as I don't work on modern stuff very often (if I can help it) then found out how it was all linked up and no good for me.
