Dropping petrol tank... Empty Dropping petrol tank...

Post by dripa Wed Jul 24, 2013 4:29 pm

Hi,

I bought the van with a non working petrol gauge and have read on the forum it maybe a corroded earth terminal on the sender or the float.
So my question is how easy to lower the tank to inspect the terminal or just buy a sender unit and fit to save dropping tank twice..

She's a 2004 1300 EFI Hijet.

It's fairly easy - 4 bolts and support on a jack/blocks of wood - unless (as on mine) the rear two bolts shear.......but then it's only difficult to re-fit.

Hi,

Will the pipes flex enough so I don't have to disconnect them??
