New Aerial
I have a snapped Aerial, and its starting to become annoying with every radio station having a mush of white noise ....
Does anyone have one of these going at all, or know the best place to get one?

+1 on this..
last "owner" bodged the aerial by sticking a bit of wood down the end & pushed it back on... errm.. it still doesnt work ya prat!
i know there are all sorts available out there, i dont want to spend much as i use the ipod more than radio. just looks silly with 5" of aerial

Re: New Aerial
They are verry common aerils. You find them on ebay: http://www.ebay.nl/itm/Daihatsu-Hi-Jet-Hijet-Porter-Pillar-Aerial-Antenna-/400177101719?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d2c69fb97
I think they are sold in every local automotiveshop.

Re: New Aerial
I would suggest that universal aerials do no quite fit the curve of the pillar perfectly.
So when you install make sure you seal everything up well with some silicon.
Otherwise you'll have a wet drivers side carpet and in the end it will cause more rot.

The mounting point on the pillar has a flat area for the base of the ariel.

The one I took off my pickup was this one:-
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Daihatsu-Hi-Jet-Hijet-Porter-Pillar-Aerial-Antenna-/400177101719
And the mounts did not match the shape of the van, water had been running down the inside of the A pillar and into the footwell where it had caused alot of corrosion.
