Average speeds are 60-65 duel carriageway 80% of my daily 50 mile round trip commute.

£28.25 @ £1.369

That works out to around 40ish to the gallon. Seems average?

Yeah, pretty normal reasonable mileage on a 20 litre fill.

I tend to get to pretty much exactly 25 litres ever time and it come to about £33.

didnt help that the pump i was using this morning was so damn sensitive.. kept on clicking off as soon as i started to fill!

ok.. so 2nd question.... how long after the light comes on solid do ya have to fill up.. or by that point ya bolloxed?

when i bought the van, i did drive 8miles to the nearest station with the fuel light popping on/off when i braked lol.. so i know i can get a weeeeee bit more..

You have a light???? How posh! I just go by my gauge or the intermittant cutting out (followed by swift reaching for a petrol can!)

FWIW I reckon there's about 1.5 gallons left in my Avensis when the light comes on.
