Keys locked in van
Hi All,
Had a real pre coffee Rodney moment this morning and locked the keys in the van, anyone got any ideas how pop the locks with out throwing a break into the window.
Cheers

I had the same issue, managed to pull the door away at the top enough to accurately put a coat hanger down and pop the latch. A helpful man in the car park lent a tea towel to the operation to wedge the door open enough. You may need to bend it back in again afterwards, but on mine it fitted better post op than before!

Dead easy to pop the locks.
Just pull the seal strip off the window.
Make a little hook on the end of a bit of coat hanger.
Fish down the gap and pull the lock pivot - its green from memory.

Thanks for the replies guys, found a coat hanger at work here, so will pop down lunchtime and give it a go. Would like to get it open as my XJ8 keys are in there too.

Re: Keys locked in van
I bought a magnetic key box 2 for a £ in the £ shop, painted one same colour as the van and stuck it behind the rad grill. Anyone seeing it just thought it was part of the van. This was after I locked the keys in on a sea france ferry.

I have a similar problem but did it fairly often till I fitted an alarm with remote locking but just as a back up I always have a way which means I can unlock with some wires hidden away some where.
