What next second hand brake pads? Or how about some nice second hand pants?
Radiators are pretty delicate, even just removing them and refitting them can make them leak.
Take my advice and buy a new one. I know its like £100 but if the donor vehicle was pretty new, low milage and mint it wouldn't be getting broken for spares.

Depends who's pants they are hey!
Thing is, you may actually have head gasket failure. If I were you, not wanting to spend cash wastefully, first I would wash the radiator you've got out best you can.
While you've got the hose pipe connected up to it you should be able to work out if your getting much water though it.
And I mean proper job. Remove it, take both hoses off the bottom of it, then bodge something up so you can fit a decent pressure hosepipe to the pipe connectors and wash it out both ways a good few times. If you do it over a patio etc you will see if you get much crap out of it. Then i'd make some caps for the pipe connectors out of something and blow it up with air to see if you get bubbles from it while you hold it in the sink or bath etc.
Getting the bumper off takes minutes, then you can get the rad off which is an easy job. Take it into your back yard and give it some washing and testing.
Re: someone selling hijet bits on ebay
yeah doin most of that tomorow, got a laser heat detector thingi too to see if it heats up evenly
also a better block test, my way.. not his!!!
ive made a little bag contraption on a small pipe that can be shoved in the end of the tube going into the expasion tank, gonna drive it till it bubbles then fix it up and test
have flushed the rad couple of times, there was loads of gunk in it before, the water in the system is pretty clear now so will be interesting to see if anything comes out the rad this time
