Intake air collector Gasket

Hi,

i've bougth in Ebay the kit of Gasket for HC1300,but the intake air gasket is very different from the original that was installed before.
The new is red and i think made of paper,the old was in metal and very different. So my doubt: is it ok the red or is better to have a original daihatsu in metal?

Its been a very long time so take what I say with a pinch of salt.

I think I never used the inlet gasket in those kits because it didn't fit correctly.

I think I always reused the metal gasket, which I would clean up with some scotchbrite and use a tiny smear of sealant on it.

But double check yourself.

I've checked is't like you said,didn'y fit correctly,today i've bougth a meltal genuine gasked, because mine was destoyed all corroded!....probably the preowner.....loaded the salt...
