I totaled my Hijet!
Last week somebody backed up into my sliding door with his tow bar. It was completely his fault. Good thing the door still works properly and the door sill is unhurt. The guy then offered me 200 € but i refused and went to visit an expert to make an expertise at the garage i more of less trust. The expert now came up with the figures:
The repair would cost 1200 € plus vat so 1600 aproximately
Buying a new hijet (in that condition) would be at least 1600 €
and the remaining value would be around 400 €
So the insurrance has to pay 1200 approx either way.
By the way check out my new Hifly Super 2000s

So pocket the 1200 and live with the dent? I have Hiflys on, not sure which model, find them noisier than whatever I had on before - probably Nankangs.

Yeah i am looking out for a very nice condition used white door. I am planning to repair it and let the expert certify it. He will do that for free. Untill then the car will be listed in a database so the insurance can see it has been in an accident and not repaired officially.
Hopefully wont need it but can always be another incident.
Hiflys for the Hijet... had to go with it also
the Super 2000s Look really nice i think and the stats are better than most others i compared.
Quality seemy good, too. Have not noticed more noise because i was driving rd713s before. They roll much smoother then the Bridgestone winters. Also they were dead cheap about 20€ per tyre compared to 60-70€ for the brigdestone winter tyres.

Re: I totaled my Hijet!
those bright wheels are fun. I got a free holiday from my car being written off with a dent. I popped the dent out myself.
