Don't get one from Malta. The amount of rust on that island is something else!

Well done Lex. An excellent selection of Vans. Never ceases to surprise me the terrific number of variations on the Hi-Jet alone, never mind the others like Suzuki etc.
My long time friend and work colleague David stays in Malta every September at the Royal Dolman in Bugibba.
He is trying very hard to to persuade me to go along with him this year. I am seriously considering it. Would love to go back for a couple of weeks holiday.

I wasn't amazed by Malta, I found it rather boring. We went there to escape family and the cold, so it was successful. The weather is wonderful, even when it stormed I didn't freeze to death and it was fun watching the sea go wild. Most of the days were beautiful and sunny though. But I wouldn't be able to stay for longer than a week to be honest. I love history, but everything has been rebuilt and has been made tourist friendly... There's not a lot of originality left, seems more like an amusement park. And the amount of children... I truly am happy I don't have them. They constantly run and scream. I guess they can't help it and parents are really the problem, but am I glad that I don't have to deal with them and I never want to either...
But in your case, especially with the history you have with the island, why would you want to stay home? Enough gentleman's clubs in St. Julians to get ripped off! And the shoes, boots and skirts of the ladies I have seen wandering along the bars... We'll call it cultural sightseeing, I'll understand. Just make sure you bring a good book or two.
Oh and eat their ice cream. I have never had something like it before. If I stayed longer I might have turned diabetic.
