Re: Hijet Meeting
I'd be up for it if I wasn't so far away. Would be a 500mile round trip
Few more little problems I need to attend to before it's ready for a trip that big.

Raggy,
Put me down as a maybe. Holmfirth is not that far away but we have relatives arriving on 20th August. There will be lots to do so I can't be more definite, but I'll endeavour to be there.
John.

Re: Hijet Meeting
I will be in London on the Saturday to say goodbye to my Grandaughter aged 19 who is going out to live in Winnipeg and join her brother out there.
I would love to go back to Holmfirth again for some "First of the Summer Wine". But it would definitely be my Last of the Summer Wine.
I will have to "mull" it over with my wife and see if we could practically make it. Would have to stop somewhere on route overnight. It is certainly a beautiful spot. I went there when the boys were young and had a meal in the Cafe. It was great seeing all the places and houses that you had seen on TV. Going to have to give this some serious thought.

Just looked on the map. It is only a hop-skip-and-a-jump away to you Raggy. You have got some really lovely countryside around you. I love the area around Matlock.
Why on earth would you want to come to the Isle of Wight??
