Hi folks...
Dave from Belfast. Bought a 1999 Hijet 1.3 petrol 85k miles a couple of weeks ago. A few issues I needed to get sorted (eg. timing belt, battery and service) and last Sunday a mate and I had a stab at fitting out the rear. A few pics attached. Not professional but perfect for my needs. Hope to find the forum a useful information source. Peace.

Wouldn't be appropriate now would it Logi.
I was up at 6-30am this morning Oldie and picked up a Grand Move from the Garage and was down in Bonchurch for an Mot at 7-45am. Then on to a restoration job I am overseeing then to the Doctors for 10am.
Busy busy. Go to keep going. Keep the ole joints moving each day.

Re: Hi folks...
Well I'm sure he is not going to understand that Scotia.
I could not get my laptop to upload to work on Servimg and as everyone knows gave up because it was such a complicated crap system. However Dave I have used my Tablet last week to post pictures and on there it for some reason seems a much more straightforward way of posting. Don't ask me to give instructions. I did that in October 2013 for a laptop because many others couldn't fathom it out either. Somebody reposted my instructions on here earlier this year. In fact it was one of the contributing factors for Melboy leaving the Forum. He was so frustrated at not being able to post pictures of his Hi-Jet SE, the only all original SE on the Forum at the time.

Re: Hi folks...
Right Dave. I will do my best to explain how to post a picture using a Tablet.
Choose either : New Subject or Post Reply.
The page will open and along the top are 8 individual boxes. In the 5th box { with YouTube in it} tap on the FIRST Icon and a box will appear - somewhere . In the top right corner is a green sign with: Select files.
Tap on that. You will have a box with 4 choices : Camera, Video Camera, Sound Recorder, Documents. Choose between Camera and Documents. I usually use Documents for stored photographs.
Choose a picture and it will appear below. At the end of the picture box is a blue arrow. Tap on that. 3 lines of Gobbledygook come up. Tap on the middle line. You can repeat that process again to add another photo. But stick with one for the first time. Tap on the Blue box Send all then tap on the screen outside of the box you have filled in and it dissapears. Then go to Send at the bottom of the the page, the same as you do with a normal post and you hopefully will have a picture. In my case the PICTURE I have just posted in YOUR PICS is of a local Subaru Automatic MPV dressed up like a VW Van.

Re: Hi folks...
Well when you get to my age Scotia , everything is long winded and learning new things takes a whole lot longer. But it is a joy when you can finally master something that has evaded mastery for ages.
Its much easier when someone can show you how it's done, but from reading instructions they have to be clear and concise. Well that's my excuse anyway.

Stone me!! From one extreme to the other. Well done with both - - posting pictures and the construction work. How long did the work take you Dave?

Re: Hi folks...
Woodie everything you see (apart from changing the lights and vinyling the panels) was done by me and a very handy mate in a 10 hour stretch. little bits and bobs done since (took out board from tailgate window and replaced with polycarbonate, got new carpet, added a cover panel at cooker access, put new board under window at tailgate interior) and still to do (install stereo, install heater in rear, hook up 12v lighting, install mains hook up, investigate leisure battery) but it's definitely getting there! Thanks for the help with the pics. Dave

Wow' brilliant' 10hrs that puts my approx 6mnths to shame! Looking really good, like the expanding seating idea and pull out cooker. Great pics.

Well that I find utterly amazing. I take it that doesn't include the upholstery work though Dave.

Re: Hi folks...
No Woodie - Rod (the mate) had those from his boat and donated them. I have to get the long one altered as it's shaped and slightly too long - it will form the other part of the mattress when the bed is pulled out. D

Re: Hi folks...
I can see that you are going to be as bad as me - - a kid with a new toy, being able to post pictures. And a Hi-Jet to play with. Well done on both counts.

Hi Davethelion. Haven't had even heard a miow from you since September.
How is your project going and how have you been finding driving your Hi-Jet?? Trouble free I hope.
Give us all an update. Always glad to hear from - - anyone at the moment...... It's always a bit quiet on here at this time of year with the Pagan 2 day festival coming up in a couple of weeks.
