Popped over to Brecon Beacons weekend just gone, camped in Craig-y-nos country park car park. van is working well, got 215 miles on 21 litres of fuel

Wow thats a good score. I usually get only 170 miles on 21 litres. What's your normal cruising speed?

For those working in old money thats 46.54mpg, well done. Looks a good area to camp.

I didn't go much above 60 on this trip, I drove to Devon and back the weekend before and drove it much harder 70+ on the motorways used loads more fuel, and oil, and it didn't actually make a great deal of difference time wise so I will be back to taking it easy with the old bean!

There's a huge difference in mpg between 55 mph and 75 mph affraid

Yep, huge difference in fuel use, and overall not a lot of difference in time to get there due to the odd traffic jam and country roads where I had no choice but to drive slower, I also have music in the van now so at least I can sing along to something to keep me occupied!
