Re: Driveaway awning
I'm thinking about buying something like this: https://www.obelink.nl/universele-luifel-ten-cate.html?gclid=COmz2pCa9csCFQPgGwodSkUGXQ but a complete awning is not a bad idea. I reckon there are plenty of one-size-fits-alll-driveaway-awnings?

Re: Driveaway awning
This is the one I got, just went for what was cheapest at the time.
Put it up and took it down myself no problem. I wouldn't bother trying if was windy though!

I had a L300 (2.5l diesel) with a Euromobil for 10 years. Great little camper but not that steady on the road. I had to sell it because I have 1 child to many. :-)

I got the smaller one, was the smallest I could find, but turned out great when my friend turned up as she didn't need to put her tent up. It's like a tall dome tent, I did connect it to the roof channel initially but it was faffy to do and was blowing around in the breeze a bit so ended up with the top flap over the roof and guy ropes on other side which was easier to do and worked much better.
Not sure about selling, I have thought about it as I dont get a lot of chance to use it and have been considering trying to make something for the back of the van that hangs of the door but untill then will need this "just incase!"

cool.. i had the frankia 470 2.3 diesel which is even slower than your old one.
but those engines go forever and are verry verry reliable.
i didnt use it as much as i thought i would and sold it to.
it was an easy sell, loads of interest in it... even with some old damage to the alkoof.
i put it on marktplaats on 10:30 the first buyer came the same day around 18:00 and sold it to him
