2005 hijet igniter pack

bought a 2005 hijet 1296 16v efi a few months ago...............run like a dream, then the other day decided not to start. iv been told ( after a few people looking at it ) that its more than likely the ignite pack
went to the local dealer ... £557!!!
well after I got up off the floor I had a look around and have seen a couple of ones from people who are breaking them.
my question is... my serial numbers are 89621/97401 ........ the other two are 19200/97201 and 19200/97402
do you think that they would be ok ( they look almost identicle )
if not....does anyone know were I could lay my hands on one

Well first of make sure it is the Igniter Pack and not the Camshaft Sensor which is the most common of the two in my experience.

Get someone to check it out with an OBD2 Meter. The Diagnostics plug is just visible below the bottom of the dashboard to the right of the Steering Column.
It will show up as Crankshaft Sensor on the OBD2 but it is on the back of the cylinder head. Get it diagnosed first.
I charge £75 for an Ignitor Unit and £35 for Camshaft Sensor.
