The time has come....
...... for our MPV to go up for sale.
So the good bits are it has good headlights, it runs, it has central locking, sunroofs don't leak most of the time, one rear side under the glass has had the rot repaired, drivers door glass replaced as has the mechanism, it has a centre consol for the radio, the tyres are reasonable, no water leaks into the footwells (fixed this with a replacement windscreen), carpets are good for age and mileage as are the seats, water pump was replaced when we got her five years ago as seal leaked, head has been skimmed during rebuild, 1.3 radiator put in to replace the standard rotten one although brackets need to be made it works well.
The bad bits are it needs some bodywork seeing to, it has no MOT as expired last month while waiting parts, the engine pressure cap leaks may need a new top pipe as this one has been repaired but it's better than the one before which broke, passenger side door mirror folds back easily as clamp broken but will stay put unless there are strong winds or the door is opened and closed repeatedly, new handle needed for passenger side sliding door, all rear seats are out as used as a van and centre row require new seatbelt stalks (it will come with all the seats).
Price we would like £300 ono. or £350 and it comes with the spare parts I have collected over the last 5 years.
My wife is boss and her decision is final and she will go on ebay on Thursday if no takers as we need her gone as have now got a bigger van we were going to stay with a mini van in a Nissan Vanette/LDV Cub but cost wise we now have an LDV pilot for about the same money.
I know I haven't been on here much this year just been one of those years when I haven't been on my computer much at all it's been a busy one.

Re: The time has come....
Yes your regular posts have been missed Rich. I hope you will stay in touch with us all though.
I know what you mean about not being on the Computer much. I haven't had time to get on here myself with trying to keep the spare parts going out and finding Hi-Jets to replenish the spares.
So much time parceling up parts then sending PayPal invoices and then booking them on Carriers. Its all so time consuming and mentally tiring.
Still only four months to retirement now. Can't believe it really. I can still clearly remember my first day at work over 49 years ago.
I will still be dabbling with Hi-Jets though and help as many Forum members as I can.
All the best Rich and your knowledge of Hi-Jets will no doubt be very useful to others on here so please don't loose touch mate.

Awww, bad time
As for proper sized vans, you can't beat a transit for best reliability to value ratio.
Steer clear of the Iveco's as they are complete money pits, the boxer/ducato/relay as they are what I class as disposable vehicles, and sprinter/lt35 that have done loads of miles.

This is the last picture I took of our MPV with the Pilot behind and the Escort in front. I did have one last drive around the car park and we would have kept her if we could afford to or had space.
This is Lottie taken from my work doorway.
The LDV forum is a bit quiet no where near the involvement as here.

Re: The time has come....
She said cool trailer but why would she want two unstable vehicles to make her three times a worse passenger when it's windy.
