Adding bleed screws

I don't know if this is a silly suggestion but:

While pressure filling the cooling system the other day - both getting liberally coated in pink antifreeze and pondering the fact that I'd need to chuck down a few buckets of water else next doors' cat will wind up dead - is there any reason why a number of bleed screws tee'd into strategic places and run with a length of pipe to a common position would make the whole exercise more straightforward and a lot less messy?

I'm thinking one in the smaller pipe off the thermostat housing and another from the spigot on the back of the cylinder head will make the job easier since there would be less dismantling of seats, engine cover and handbrake carrier etc.

I've got to drain the system soon as the rad fan switch is suspect and while it's back looking more like a jigsaw puzzle and less like a van I'm seriously considering adding even more pipework.

Nice idea.

But for the time, money and effort I would just let next doors cat snuff it.

Once you get good at it, you tend to only loose about 1 litre of coolant.

I do it on my painted workshop floor, then mop up the mess.
