Hi9Jet 1300 EFI speedo cable routing ?

After replacing screen washer jets and removing entire dashboard etc the speedo cable snapped due to poor reinstallation. I cant see how to get it out for refurb from a specialist in Swansea. Anyone done it before ?

I'd be tempted to ask them to make it 3 inches longer as they are a bit tight in places at the best of time.
