Re: My beast pictures
does the CB500 fit in the back?
i know if i tried to get my CBR400 in the back, it would have to go in at an angle.. but i do have a single bike trailer to use instead... :0)

Re: My beast pictures
yeah, the angle dangle trick all the way.
My dads got one of those jackup trailors where you lift the big D and the bed of the trailor comes down. He built it himself, wicked peice of kit.
I've just got back from the tip, hijet strikes again

Re: My beast pictures
Ah, well that day I had our new bosch double under oven in the back and a couple of grands worth of makita/dewalt power tools.
Mine suffers pretty bad from condensation as firstly the back sunroof leaked so I taped it up with that alloy tape stuff, and now my front one is leaking. But I think standing on my roof using the van as scaffolding causes the bonding around the sunroofs to crack, as when I bought mine it was in perfect working order. The foliage made it that bad this morning I had to take a windscreen wiper off and do the inside of the windscreen, plus I was getting rained on from the condensation from the sunroof!!
It actually had 21k miles on the clock with lady owner from new, it was pristine condition.... now look at it!

Re: My beast pictures
check out the sticky in workshop section on how to strip down the sun roof.
my front one started dripping on me several months ago. 100% strip down and clean, rotated the rubber seal round and no more leaks....

Re: My beast pictures
Lmao.... thanks for the pointer, but really I'm more likely to tape it up so I can continue walking on the roof. From my hosepipe tests, its not the glass to frame seal thats leaking, its the actual frame to bodywork bonding. I've never really opened either sunroof since I bought it. I know most will cringe at the treatment of my hijet, but I love it dearly and i realise its a consumable workhorse. The other day I was literally throwing concrete blocks in the back and now the floor is dented badly, and the sides are pretty scuffed and dented - yet my sony 6x9's still bang out the classical FM good, budda must smile upon my 6x9's.
Realisticly I'm going to finnish this house then scrap this van and buy myself a nice tidy hijet pannel van or maybe a super carry. Either way i'm sticking to the mini vans as they make me grin and do pretty much everything I need.
Hope your well, and with 13 members obtained within such a short timeframe this place might gain momentum. Thought about adding a "introduce yourself" forum area so general doesn't get a bit messy?
I ran some ebay adverts for my Yamaha RD DT TZR forum which brought in new members quite fast, I auctioned off a peice of paper that said the forum name with an diagram of the shockers. Just about complied with ebays listing policy.

Re: My beast pictures
lol, i did try and put a "item" on ebay that was a link to the forum.. ebay pulled every attempt! so i stuck it (link) on the seat i was selling a few weeks ago.
i can add a intro sticky in the general section..
one thing i do kinda worry about is when/if the forum gets too big for the free servers to cope with and have to move to a more reliable server.. no idea when this may happen. just wait and see how things go.

Re: My beast pictures
The hosting account I have with webhosting.uk.com which costs me £60 a year allows me to install phpbb2 at the click of a button or two. Complete doddle, just to show you......
http://lampking.co.uk/demohijet
Its so easy I cant express the slackness! So no worries, just get the members, and i'm sure if its a problem a bit of banner advertisement and some donations in exchange for stickers and t-shirts can make the books ballance.

Re: My beast pictures
aye. there are ways of getting money in to the site. which reminds me, i need to pay my bikes forum fee end of this month.
i have 3 hosting packages for various sites and not one of them will let me put a forum or forms of any sort on them! that costs £99 extra!!!!

Re: My beast pictures
from the hosting I mentioned above, I've done a few different little sites and it works really well, I 've used a few firms over the years but due to the service I get from them - in asian accent "I love you long time", i'd totally recomend them but i'd check they suit your needs before jumping ship!
Wish I had a camera today, I had the back of my Hijet 100% rammed full of timber, and I mean rammed from floor to roof, then ontop of the roof rack about a 2 foot high stack of doors and flattened kitchen units. The acceleration was similar to having a ton of building rubble in the back while the cornering stability made my pants a bit brown. The tyres were bulging out and rarther hot after a two mile run. The locals must think I'm from india or turkey. Job done - Hijet power!!!

Re: My beast pictures
This is a blast from the past, oh how I miss being at that house at that stage of my past. Life seemed pretty simple.
