Engine light

It appears my engine light has a mind of it's owns. It comes on at random times, like for example doing 65mph and braking, it comes on, going round a roundabout it sometimes comes on. If I stop and turn the engine off then on, it goes away. Any suggestions?

Ours has come on a few times, when we've driven over a hump in the road a bit enthusiastically.
Like yours, it went off if we stopped & restarted the engine.
We never had it checked out, we just go over humps a bit more steadily now.
Our van hasn't blown up yet.....

I take it this is a common thing then? Is there an easy cure, besides forking out more money at the garage.

Some people have the problem, some dont...

I never see the EM light, apart from when I first turn the ignition on....

Just check that all plugs you can find are clean and fitted properly...
