Still Looking for Headlights , Help

Hi

I am still looking for Headlights for my Daihatsu Hijet 1.3 16v Panel van as it failed mot last year and has been off the road for nearly 6 months, i spent nearly £200 on the last mot and last year has cost me another £85 so far but require headlights to pass the mot, Can anyone help or know of any other vehicles which have similar headlights which may fit. Thanks

I wish you luck, they're rocking horse poo. Maybe worth stripping them and redoing the silver? You've got bugger all to lose?

I have found a few people who have them but they are wanting way too much than i wanted to pay.

I've sold the last one I had to a lady down south this morning for £60. It was a passenger side I think.

i think my Headlights are beyond repair as it has rusted through the casing, i do alot of night driving which is why my headlights are essential, Does anyone know of any company who can provide copy headlights or other copy parts for a Hijet as i also need the tail lights and a few other parts.

You can find brand new tail lights on ebay, the headlights are there too but mega money.

This comment puzzles me.

Later (post 1997ish) headlights are all plastic construction.

The early pre face lift ones are wildly available.

Post a photo of your van to confirm the type.

I may be able to get you a pair of these from a scrap yard near me if it's still there but I don't know what they'd charge for the pair. want me to have a look tomorrow afternoon?

Or failing that you're not far from me you could take them off yourself?

i have managed to find a pair of headlights in good condition from a breaker on Ebay at a reasonable price, if anyone else if having difficulty finding parts take a look on Ebay as there are a couple of Hijet Breakers on there.

How much are they? Which seller?

£100 for the pair including postage costs, it was a white van he was breaking and he was in Kent, he sent me pics and they had no rust at all in them, he also confirmed this with me.

Just so you know, they do not rust at all.

There is no iron/steel in them.

The red/brown colour is not rust.
