The panel behind
And both os and ns little panels next to headlight surround.
Front bumper

Yeah needs quite a few bits that can be hard to find.

e.g. headlights

It it really worth fixing?

Someone has sold all the good meat off it already.

I have blue doors galore here, non are great but they are very cheap - almost free if you come and collect them!!!

Problem is, it looks like the A pillars are bent on it. You'll struggle like hell to make the panel gaps work afterwards. The whole tin can will be wonky.

Wow! looks like your going to be busy sorting that out.

Wouldn't it be easier to transfer the 4wd gear on to another Hijet.......... mine for instance.

Well i pretty much have all the other parts inside just been dismantled.

I dont mind if the parts are different colours.

I didnt pay that much just a couple of hundred for the van. So spending the money to fix it will still be less than buying another one and converting a 2wd to 4wd. Well thats what im hopein lol.

It is a little bent. I do have a guy we use at work alot who does body work repair.

How did it go with changing the van from 2wd to 4wd?

2 wheel drive to 4, easy pezy, a lot quicker than the repair, cant say how long as not sure how good you are, how much tea you drink, basic tool kit and some fishing wire. if you have a ramp less than a day

tbh you need to see that blue one run, we all know how bad they can be, there are a lot of good parts on the van that will sell to fund a new one, IF you do go down the replacement van route try and get one the same age, they changed in that erea so that being a 02 could be a old stock van as the 4x4's were a 1500ukp option and could have sat in the dealers, not a problem just nice to have parts like exhausts you can swop

Ok.

Yeh plug coming out of everywhere. And I don't know what goes where.

On the PDF manual does it have a set up like a Haynes.? Like putting things back or tacking things off? Diagrams and such?

The worst bits are the front end damage and trying to figure out the wireing. Everything else is easy.

I dont want to put a downer on your plans but I think you may have bitten off more than you can chew on this . Not knowing your skill level I cant say that its not do-able ,but I can think of easier ways to pass the time . My main concerns would be 1. has the vehicle been placed on the write off register as this will show when you re register and affect your resale price . 2. Form my own experience of working for a body shop , kinks in the roof normally meant scrap it . I think I would be looking for an MOT failure to convert to 4 wd rather than throw money at the van in the photo . I wish you the best of luck with it and hope you prove me wrong , but its more than I would take on .

Cheers

I dont want to sell the van after fixing it.

I will be getting it looked at tomorrow to see if the body guys can fix it.
If they can the i will let you guys know.

I need all the luck i cant get on this one.Smile
