Blown Fuse??? Empty Blown Fuse???

Post by Tukz Sun Jun 20, 2010 6:53 pm

Today I noticed that the plastic plug on one of my injector cables was broken so I thought be seen as I had a spare loom with some on, I would replace it. As I pulled the wires off the engine they sparked and now the engine won't start. I have checked the fuses in the fuse box but they are all fine. I swapped out the big 60A yellow fuse but still nothing. The yellow engine management light on the dash doesn't come on now either. Anyone have any ideas??.

Is there any other main fuses anywhere??.

I'll check with Tony but I'm pretty sure there's some at the back somewhere, I'll ask him when he gets back. Emma

hi mate , when you pulled the wires I guess the ignition was on?.As far as i can see from the manual the injector wires join the loom with the lights ect so look at the light fuse's, I can't think of any other fuse that it could be.maybe have the ecu checked.hope this helps.I will sleep on it and maybe think of something else, you never know.Regards ect Tony scratch

I found em!'

There is a little black fuse holder that holds 2 fuses. It says EFI 1 and EFI 2 on it, coincidence that??.

Changed the fuse and it kicked up a treat. While I was messing I found out where the reb/brown plug went that I thought was labelled up wrong. Turns out the reason it didn't fit where it said it should because someone had pulled the wires out of the plug that was there originally so that's why they didn't look right. Tuki is running sweet as a nut now. Just need to find someone that can do bodywork and then I'll be back on the road!!.
