El Cheapo Aerials for Hi-Jets. Empty El Cheapo Aerials for Hi-Jets.

The four £6-99 aerials I ordered turned up yesterday well wrapped and undamaged. As HJ said basically you get what you pay for but I am happy
enough with them especially as they have the all important top mounting steady bracket.

They certainly tidy up the front pillar and stop it looking scruffy with a broken or missing one anyway.Laughing Laughing .

Given up on the original aerials after finding my new one wrenched of the pillar again , so its going to be a fill in of the holes and a roof aerial from now on .

Cheers all

Glass mounted ones ? What! Do you mean like the groundbreaking ones Skoda had all those years ago on the sunroofs of the rear engined Estelle's and Rapid Coupe's???

Tut tut, HJ honestly.Embarassed Embarassed

Hi H.J I thought about a glass mounted one , but I am not sure how good they are . iF anyone uses one can you tell me if they do the job well or not , my own thoughts are that the standard roof mount aerial may get a better range of signals .

Cheers all

Ford fitted heated rear window ariels in the 80's they work but not great as they get old the elements get higher resistance.

Or one of these I can't be bothered to scroll to far through Hellfords website but I have seen these for non DAB setups.

to be honest the top mounting bracket slides off the ariel and you can buy a simple telescopic ariel and slid it through.
