since i got it the sliding doors havnt run smooth. got new bearings with the intention of sorting them....
today the top LHS door opened but got stuck half way... a 3" section of the top runner/track is missing & the bearing holder bit wouldnt move..
with a screwdriver & brawn.. managed to get the door shut.

now where on earth do i start with this repair?
Door off for sure...
can i weld a new run on?
can you replace the whole run/track? Suspect

i have a 3" gap in my top runner too that somehow caught the bearings when i tried to slide it shut and the door fell on my head! mine looks cut tho, presumably its the bit that allows the door to be taken off, i just shut it very carefully now!

had a better look in daylight.
there is a chunk missing from the outer part of the track which lets the runner out!
I have also noticed that the track is Tack welded in place front passenger pillar end, but cant see how its attached other end?
If so whats to stop me drilling the weld out... & riveting a new rail in?

Had a look at my lower arm . There is some adjustment to get it higher and also bring that lower roller more inboard on the lower runner to stop it falling off the edge of it .

Yeah, that slot should be there.

As said before, bend it back to straight with some slip joint pliers or mole grips etc.

GT has is nailed really, bit of adjustment to stop it dropping out and your laughing.

With the bottom runner. There are some bolts on the arm that clamp the two sections together.
