I wonder if that could be an answer for the rusting reflector problem? Not sure if those surrounds are available from anywhere, but if they are it would offer some hope for those with rectangular headlights.

Round headlamps are easy items to find and the standard square lamp is round with 4 corners so drop the glass out attach round lamp to old reflector with glue or screws and retain standard adjusters and then fill in gap with a homebrew trim panel job done couple of hours or so work.
