For sale: SE Hijet parts

I intend to start stripping it towards the end of next week so have a think if there are any parts you would like after I have had first dibs.

I am keeping the Wheels (obviously ) , the lovely 4 Spoke Steering Wheel,
the Radiator ( to repair the Silver MPV I also bought last week ) the four rear seats ( for the moment) and the back lights.

The Rear Door Spoiler is going to a very well deserved new owner.

I shall be very carefully removing the whole Grey Plastic Body-kit along
with that very distinctive Front Bumper and all the bracketry etc that goes along with it.

I have run the engine twice literally for two mins each time to drive it on and off the Transporter so the steam could be the fact that the exhaust is full of moisture due to standing for so long. I will run it up fora good while at the week-end and see if it is still Chuffing Puffing Billy.
It has a newish Rear Silencer and CAT and flexi pipe.

If you are in need of a good engine or gearbox then
I also have an " S " reg 3pot Island registered van I will be breaking too.
It has never been off the Island, and done only 54,000 miles, all panels doors and axle are good too.

Hopefully within three months I will be fully up and running and organised
well enough to be doing this more than my Handyman Service so please in the meantime be patient with me as I may not be able to dispatch spares every day.

Sorry but do you have the rear silencer still. I have a T plate 1300 Hi Jet..

Hi Ian. The SE is a 3cylinder  and much older so the silencer is very different. Even on the 
1300's there are about 3 different rear silencers  that I am aware of  so one does need to identify which one it is. 

Quite honestly the best deals are on Amazon where you can pick up a new one from as little as 
£55 and they can send it far cheaper too as they have deals with carriers due to volume use. 

I havent used the Amazon site for this myself so perhaps if any Forum members have perhaps they could kindly advise of their experiences. Woody.

Hi Melboy. Metallic Blue door I imagine ? Do you want a bare door which will be cheaper to buy and being lighter -less likely to get damaged by the carriers. Bare door £25 or complete £40. Shame I didnt know last weekend as we were up in Tamworth and could have met you in the area.

Hiya mate. Any chance you have a the throttle cable and its various clips? I had the whole sticky cable deal with my new Hijet and on removal and oiling found the outer cable had perished. Cant seem to find them online at all!?!

Not a problem. Is it a 1000 or 1300?? Postage and packing by First Class mail is a fiver and the cable will be £8.

woody its not the t158 starter ,the reason i know that is bought one off ebay and when i come to fit it,it didnt fit ive tried every where but they all say its a t158 starter i need for my reg P462 NRF.the differance i noticed was where the wheel with the teeth is a bigger gap on mine the t158 its smaller allthough the toothed wheel is the same size. hope you can help.

I am assuming Matt that the ring gear will be different too to match the

coarser teeth. I had this problem with Fords using two different pitches.

I had the problem on my 02 plate pickup this year and with the wrong

starter it makes an awful noise. Will have to start taking starters off vehicles

to find one for Melboy it seems. Oh pooo. !!!
