Hi-Jet with Grey Plastic Body Kit.
I saw one on the Forum last week I think and it evoked a few comments --- somebody said that they had only ever seen one I think.
Check this out on : www.wightbay.com under Car Services, Parts & Accessories an ad by Taylor & Son ( ad ref no. is 4763312 ). A blue N reg 6 seater MPV with wierd bumper and Grey Body-kit. I have just bought it for £150 for spares. Then half an hour later a P reg silver MPV for £100 for spares or repair --- both from my Wanted avert on the Sliding Display on the Home page.
Well pleased I must say.

Hmmm, I am such a cynical git but:-
just put 12 months MOT on it
doesn't have the v5c yet
calls himself Topmechanic12345
hmmmm?
opens with a tale about not converting it into a camper
oversells it as being "RUN FOREVER"
body work "MAKES IT LOOK QUITE STUNNING"
Bet the respray is a top job as the rust is scabbing through the runners already!

It's got a nice Piaggio Porter steering wheel though.
There's just no pleasing some people!

Rare SE
Its definitely a bit tidier than the one I have just been and paid for. It does have the Original Grey body-kit with SE badges and that protruding bumper that has yellow fog-lights and oblong spot-lights. It has a nice flat 4 spoke steering wheel, 2 sun-roofs,AND WAIT FOR IT --- THE ORIGINAL SE ALLOY WHEELS !!!!kentgpz11 wrote:This looks tidy.

Cant believe my luck really. Mind you he had the nerve to rob me by charging me £150 for it --- and unlike the other one -I have got the v5 with it too.
What a jammy Old Git I have been ??

OH Blimey yes and it is a runner. It started on the key and sounds ok for its 108,000 miles. Going to start stripping it on Friday. No sign of a spoiler though.
Wheels are definitely mine and the 4 spoke steering wheel , back lights, and am thinking about the front bumper but not yet decided about that.
Everything else will be up for grabs. Regular Forum Contributors have first choice on the bits for first week then after that I will open it up to others. Woody.

Blimey LP !! It has already been said he would kill to get his hands on an SE Rear Spoiler.
Making insinuations like that to a man of HJ's standing about his prized wheels could mean the rare breed world Leopard population could decline by one in Mildenhall shortly.

It makes it look faster though
I used to drive past an SE that parked at a business unit I passed daily, and always wanted the little spoiler off it! So much so I made my ignis spoiler, but it's just too chavy, I want an original SE one.
The SE alloy would bolt straight onto a 1.3 LP - I'm I being dense?

Well I went and picked up my rare little beast on the transporter this afternoon and got it safely back to my workshop and I am chuffed with it.
Unfortunately the engine chuffs a bit too-- like a minature version of Stevensons Rocket --- but what the heck -- I dont care. I have the Alloy wheels, some very good blue material door trims, a new silencer and CAT and loads of sell-a-ble bits and pieces and the radiator I need for the Silver one I bought on Saturday.
AND - AND----- a lovely blue Rear Door Spoiler for you HJ .F.O.C. I havent yet decided who I want de-capitating but I will let you know shortly.
Give me a call if you can between 9-30pm and 10-00pm or after 10-30pm and arrange the delivery details my friend. And thank you once again for all the help you give everyone on this Forum --- you are a real Diamond. Woody.

What i can do Woody is split a post off away from a thread to create its own thread in the sale section.
just PM me when your ready & i'll do that for you.. that way people are seeing the info in the right places.
i use interparcel.com
you can get quotes once you put weight/measurements in.
you can also pay using paypal
never had any issues with using the site.

I'll second interparcel.com, and prefer to select TNT - they are brilliant in my area. One word of warning, take pics of the packaged (unsealed) box in case there's any damage claim - they can be very tight on that.

Re: Hi-Jet with Grey Plastic Body Kit.
That's a brilliant suggestion dinoh. I have a friend of many many years who owns the largest privately owned Coach Companies on the Island ---
A.L.S. Travel.
Oddly enough I saw him this afternoon and will be with him on this Sunday afternoon.
Mind you he might grizzle if I asked him to get one of his drivers to drop a Hi-Jet engine off somewhere.
