Gearbox mount? Empty Gearbox mount?

Is the gearbox mount prone to giving up?

Recently did both engine mounts but still have a bit of a vibration going on. Deffo not prop as if you rev out of gear you can feel it kick in. No noise horrible, just feel it.

Anything else that could be causing it?

Slight misfire maybe?

There is only one gearbox mount, and you can see it pretty easy, so a visual inspection should answer that question.

Maybe something to do with the exhaust system?

Does it have a constant wobble like vibration or what?

Is yours a 1.3 or a 993cc?

Hiya, 993cc

Well it kinda feels like something is touching out on the body, as you accelerate it increases especially under load at lower speed. When you get rolling it is nowhere as bad. Feels like it is under the seat which would indicate the o/s mount, but I have replaced it. Checked the tightness of the mounting bolts just in case I did'nt do something up, but their all tight.

checked exhaust and can't see it hitting anywhere. Not looked at the gearbox mount though so will do tomoz.

I never had an issue till I jacked it up via the bellhousing/gearbox.

You lucky boy! I'd love a set of 2 post ramps.

When I move to a bigger house I'm building me a bigger than double garage with a high roof for some ramps fitted and a nice brick built workshop off the side. It'll be bigger than the house I live in now. (dream over)

Guess I'm lucky to have access to a four poster and a swing arm, perk of working in a bodyshop I spose. Wink

My old house had rear access and an extended double garage, wish I still had it now but at the time I was getting collared for private work and not getting in doors till midnight No I was happy then to move to a place with no garage as I was sick of it. If I had a choice now though Rolling Eyes

Dreams can come true, just make sure you buy your euromillions ticket tomorrow Wink
