Rad Caps (and an elephant size willy*)
No, not Burberry hats, my take on the rad cap issue
Mine has had a wee leak, thought it was the rad, but it was the cap.
I now have a Japanparts cap on my rad, seems v similar to the QH one, fits the rad very well.
I fitted the Firstline one to the underseat one, fits way better than the QH one that i had on there.
Run home tonight, pretty hard, sat ticking over at the house till the fan comes on, no dripping.
(twas fair piddling out previous)
Left the reciept in the truck, but i'll post up the part no tomorrow.
*no elephantile erection, just needed a longer title.

Re: Rad Caps (and an elephant size willy*)
Little tip from a young'un
Those firstline caps have a design fault, the main cap seal is fixed to the pressed tin cap. When you put in on and off the seal gets twisted and trashed. Get some Vaseline etc on the seal to save it from an early death.
The proper daihatsu ones have a pivot between the tin cap and the upper seal, so as you twist the tension onto the seal it just gets crushed and not twisted and crushed.
