what grade of oil?

Can anyone please tell me what grade of oil for a 2001 hijet 1300, 16 valve. Thank you

I know it's probably not the right thing to do but I just look for the cheapest

ive got castrol magnatec 10/ 40. will that be ok?

10-40w all the way, and if the engine is really dirty inside use 10-40w diesel oil as it has a lot more detergent in it.

My engine (993cc CB-42) can use 10W-40 or 15W-40, which is useful, because the latter is the most commonly available where I am, on a farm, since all the agricultural vehicles use it as well! Decanting from a 25l drum into my diddy filler cap without a funnel is quite fun.
