Had some good laughs driving that thing. overtaking bigger motors.. once even while towing my bike to the garage with out breaking the speed limit!

one thing has surprised me about you fellow Sooty van owners, that a good portion of you are bikers as well.

my plan is to save up over summer with would be insurance payments/overtime money/extra dosh in to an account. Ride my bike 100% & end of summer should have a nice wedge together for another van or MPV thing... probably another van but a 1.3 this time.

That didn't take long to sell LP, we might end up selling ours soon.
Can't seem to find the time to work on it & now got used to using the Transhit.
So it's surplus to requirements.

had a few phone calls, this chap was the only one who wanted to have a look.
i did need it gone by this saturday latest as insurance expires. id then have an illegal car sat as it was still taxed!

Glad you had a result LP, but sorry you're deprived of the pleasure of your Sooty now. Really hope the site stays and you keep in touch tell you get another one.

BTW, maybe me being dumb, but why are they referred to as 'Sooty' vans?

I was worried when I saw this post title, though you would loose interest in the site and it would disappear one day, but nope, you fill me with hope and envy

i have been very chuffed with this forum, the member base has grown steadily over just 2 odd years. had no issues with any members; i have seen some pretty destructive posts on other forums in the past. but not here , i do occasionally get spam in my message inbox; delete button. The forum kinda runs its self, which is good.
the main reason i started this was the big lack of posts/replies on the main dealers web forum. i logged in to that forum the other day & had a look through the posts/replies.. guess what, nothing moves fast there.
i knew that advertising manuals for free would be a good draw. i only wish i could get more manuals and or complete the missing parts from the current set.

Glad yer keepin the site going, I hope you get another van.
