Spares or Repair?

I'm sorry to say my poor van ran out of oil without warning me and now the engine needs replacing 
a very sad day, it's only done 51,000miles!
I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me if it's worth selling or should i just scrap it? It's currently in a garage in Melksham. Look forward to hearing from anyone!
