Removing the alternator
Just started taking the alternator out but it is not playing ball. Is it just a case of levering it up, it moves okay but won't lift out.

Re: Removing the alternator
They can be a pain to get off. Plenty of WD40 either end of the bracket. Plenty of moving it back and forth. And a bit of help levering the bottom of the alternator against the mounting bracket. There is a sliding metal tube in the mounting that causes the problem.
When you go to put it back on tap the tube back in a touch. Makes it much easier to refit and bolt up.

Thanks Woodie.
A good spray of WD40 and a big screwdriver did the job.
