Who has the highest mileage?
On my way into work this morning it occurred to me that my 98 1300 Hijet pickup may be one of the higher mileage ones out there maybe?
Just turned 113,500 miles this morning

Re: Who has the highest mileage?
I sent a part last week to a customer of mine up in Norfolk who has I think, four Pickups for his milk round business.
Just in general conversation we were talking about overheating and he said that one of his pick-ups had never had a head gasket replaced and has now done 170,000 miles on the original engine. He regularly checks and bleeds the cooling system and regularly replaces the rad-caps. I think that is gonna take some beating.

Re: Who has the highest mileage?
I reckon I have Oldie. So have my vehicles!!
I have done 27,000 miles in my MPV just on the Island in just over 3 years. My Red Pickup of 12 year's, sadly departed 3 months ago I clocked up almost 50,000 mostly on the Island.
When you think that I have several other vehicles I use plus our 3 cars, I dread to think of my total mileage.
How many Marathons have you run with your young and nubile body? I bet you need a Public Health Warning & Licence for those legs.
On another note ( about to get told off by LP now) we were halfway across the Solent Wednesday last week when one of my sons mates Robin who is a DJ on a Southampton Radio station phoned him to say that the Joe Bonamassa Concert had just been cancelled. We were gutted. I had spent £208 on the tickets and waited 4 months. It has been rescheduled to the night before my 66th birthday in March. He had lost his voice due to a bunch of rowdy hooligans at a Concert in Swansea. Damn Welsh. They ruin everything.!!
But Robin had two special invites to a Private Concert for 300 people that Joe put on in a nightclub in Poole, and my son the jammy git went with him on Sunday night. The Concert made the BBC national news Programme Monday and Tuesday night this week. My son did redeem himself by buying me a Joe Bonamassa T shirt and a special CD. So I am not going to sell his ticket now for next March's Concert after all.

Re: Who has the highest mileage?
We know you've been round the block a time or two Woody (thought Logi had too, but must be wrong!) but if we're going down that road, I have personally driven my first Hijet for over 93,000 miles and put 14,300 on current van plus miles in my other 2.
Doubt anyone can beat that milkman though

My Red Truck was a record for me.. The longest time I have ever owned any vehicle for - - 12 years ( apart from my Mamod Steam Wagon bought new in 1973 and still in my possession on the bookcase) and the longest mileage wise too.

Re: Who has the highest mileage?
I think that in this case Waz, my Mamod model Steam Wagon's running time could be counted in minutes and it's distance travelling in yards.
My oldest son was about 4 years old the last time I ran it. He is 38 years old now.

Good going...is that on the original cambelt or have you had it changed?

Think I'm in nursery at this game, I'm only at 51k! Even more catching up to do but be glad if I can get even close eventually. May be it needs to include the year, like oldest with most mileage...or is that Woody again!

Re: Who has the highest mileage?
Changed the cambelt recently and gave it a thorough service but I put 500 miles a week on my little truck on the work commute and tip runs etc.
