clutch fitment  Empty clutch fitment

will the clutch plate and release bearing for a HIJET 850 S84 1986-1987 fit my 1997 1.0 EFI? i can get the clutch for the older hijet £70 cheaper

I don't know for sure, but my past experience in parts supply suggests an 850 clutch differs from a 998. Why would they put a larger plate than needed onthe 850? Stranger things have happenend, tbough. Check part nos.
