Into February now, month 2 of no Hijet, don't realise how many times it comes in handy till you don't have it.

yeah me to
i mis the suspense of will it start today
i mis the suspense of will it overheat today
i miss my sore neck..driving it longer than 5 minutes
i miss freezing my balls of inside the van because driving wind goes right trough it.
i miss having to pay 1,62 euro for 1 litre of petrol

to be honest
i only miss this forum not my hijet.
i am halfway done with the vanetttes camper conversion Cool
i planned to do that to the hijet but i couldnt get it to run properly for a year long.
taking it to matt wasnt an option because im from the netherlands.
im glad i sold it and bought myself a decent van.

it has airco, power steering has run 102.000km(diesel) no rust .
the overall feeling from the van is much better..far better quality.
fitting a pop-up roof will allow me to reduce the roadtax to 300euro a year.

if you guys are interested i could make a project topic.
but i am not sure if its a microvan.. it weighs almost 1400kg Embarassed

I never worry about starting or overheating, and mine is quite air tight as I've sealed up the headlight covers inside. No bad neck, and I find running a hijet pretty cheap fuel wise. Petrol here now is like £1.08 a litre thanks to the recent oil price wars.

Rust is my problem, the inner rear arches are just starting to go Sad

Show us some pictures of your new van!!!

I sold mine right at the end of December....missed it throughout January....and bought another one this week! Haven't told the wife yet as she'll go mad (I've hidden the van up the road!). We're away in Bath this weekend and I thought it would be more politic to introduce the new Hijet some time next week Rolling Eyes

Mine starts, doesn't overheat, isn't rusty, so I miss it, but only till March, Smile

Andy, always better to beg forgiveness than ask permission. Wink

Just saving a bit of dosh on road tax, don't really need it just now, (so I thought) I'm using the wee Aygo for commuting and the new Merc is getting a wee makeover for the summer(and soon the SLK will be getting MOT'd and sold)
It will return next month as I have some wee jobs for it, likely to put the Aygo off the road for a month or two as it's insurance is out then, so the van will be getting a fair bit of use again, hopefully lots of use with the jetski and canoe if we get a summer.....
