I see from an eariler post that HJ recomends Nippon parts
where do you get them from?
I have now had three stats from different places and they
all have opened once or twice and then stayed open
I have scoured the interweb,but I am just a thick old Geordie,
older than Woody even!!

I've just fitted a "Gates" thermostat and after about 500 miles of driving, it still works:

I bought mine from a good local motor factors and it didn't cost quite as much as the above link, but I hope it'll give you a start to find one cheaper and more local to you.
