Red T reg 1300 for sale

Selling my Hijet as it wants a lot of work, master cylinder has just developed a leak meaning breaks aren't good and stub axle on driver side just broke. It has usual wear and tear problems like driver light rusted, slight over heating issue. Engine only done 71000 and runs well. Brakes worked reasonable before master cylinder issue.
I'm expecting it could be a good van for spares alone or even doing up. Open to sensible offers.
It's a 1300, Red and on a T plate

Not sure what it's worth, it does have MOT left until October I think and she's just been taxed for 6 months at beginning of month, bearing this in mind I'd probably be looking around £250, or £200 without tax disc and I'll send it off and get money back

It is a sad looking old girl isn't it. Its a shame as you don't see many red vans or pick-ups . There is one red van in our village and I only know of two other red pick-ups on the Island besides mine.

They look good when they are buffed up and polished. With all the issues that you have been honest enough to describe, down here where there is a proliferation of Hi-Jets I would expect to pay £100 for it.

I must admit though having had another closer look at the pictures that apart from the tailgate it does look quite straight and would tidy up site well but still £100 as it needs quite a bit of tidying and work and parts on it. To people like Matt and myself that time means money and sometimes breaking a van can be more profitable or repairing it may be the better option. Every Van or Pick-Up has to be judged on its merits, as time spent can be money made or money lost.

Well done. I hope you got your asking price and everyone is happy on the deal. It would look a great van with plenty of TLC with a polishing mop.

In all honesty I WOULD have bought it for £200 if it had been on the Island or nearby on the South Coast. I must be getting like Logi -- just like to be controversial to get reactions for others to talk about.
I am actually a bit of a softie ( behave Logi ) and guite generous as I am sure a few on the Forum can tell. I bet Logi is too really.

I'd say that was a bargain at £200.

That one would clean up really well.

Actually would have ripped his arm off a 2. Weekends work and a couple of hundred quid you could have a nice wee van( as long as the overheating isn't the hg.

Usually they snap through one of the drill holes for the split pins then bang goes your hub wobbling all over the place. Happened to me two years ago.

This is my Murex 200amp Welder that gets loads of abuse and only just recently let me down but
I pulled it to pieces and got it going again.  Would you believe it is 19 years old ?? Would be lost without it.
 I am in the middle of making up a larger bore System than the ready made one I recently put on. Its being made up from scrap bits of pipe and a Stainless Honda silencer.

Right try again with a different picture and see what happens.
    





Answer ---- Nuffink !!!!!!!  I choose another picture and it brings up the first picture number so I change the file number and HEY PRESTO Nothing. Time for bed. Got to get up early as going on the mainland.

Am in Portsmouth on The Warrior Steam Warship built in 1860. It has a twin cylinder steam powered engine. The pistons are almost as big as a Hi-Jet pickup Cab. It develops a bit more than a Hijet though. 5,468 HP !!
It had a fully equipped workshop with a 3 jaw lathe.
Utterly awe inspiring experience.

Hasn't got Photo Bucket though. Just as well.
