bad news again

the head has gone again, and cant be skimmed again

does anyone know how much i would be looking at for a replacement engine

or would be interested in buy my lovely van who has drained all my money

passed mot perfectly besides stupid lights and taxed till February

Don't get down.

The van hasn't drained your money - the unskilled folk who anti-repaired it did.

Also the head isn't the cause of your faults - someone hasn't fixed the original cause of the overheating.

If you live not a million miles away, I can possibly fix it properly, once, and it will last. I have a fully re-conned head on the shelf, and another non skimmed one that's ready to go, along with radiators, pipes, thermostats..... Not just that - I know these vans "reasonably well", I know what I'm looking for, I know where they go wrong. There is little I haven't had to fix on them, so I know what lasts.

I target my approach like a wasp to a Coke in a beer garden.

I'm stupidly cheap, and you get possibly the best workmanship you will find Hijet wise.

You either fix it, or sell up - honestly or not!

I'll second that. HJ is a genuine guy who seems always ready to help people out and his knowledge of Hijets, especially 1.3's, is second to none AFAIK. Its your best and most economical way of getting it properly fixed.

Agreed, my van wouldn't be alive without HJ providing me with a very very reasonably priced cylinder head and an abundance of support. Don't give up!
