Sliding Door Windows

Hello.

Has anyone fitted windows in the sliding doors of there van?

just been thinking about it, for a bit more visibility...

if so, where did you get the windows?

I'm not bothered about having sliding windows like the mpv/campers...

I am happy to have fixed windows, its only so I can see easier when reversing around some of the lanes in sunny cornwall...

forgot to add, I have been around some scrap yards/car graveyards etc but only one had any hijets.
they had a pickup, and a camper, which had a rusted out door on one side, and no window on the other :S
so couldnt even have the doors

i know you can get window kits. i cant remember where i saw these.. may have been on the suzuki carry forums.
basically you cut a hole window sized in the panel and insert the kit/glass.
tip...
get the glass tinted before fitting, tinting will stop nosey buggers peeking in.

it wasnt the fitting that I was worried about...

it was simply if anyone had done it and where they got the kit etc...

as for tint, I can always buy that diy kit, as long as I can still see out of the damn window...

the van came with some stick on tint on the back window to stop nosey people...
problem was, I couldnt see through it at all!

i have silver mirror tint on all my rear windows + the rear tail gate, i can see out no probs.

get a pair of windows out of a camper or mpv...

cant afford to buy new ones, the only place I could find they were £140 odd for 2 little panes of glass, and a strip of rubber... :S

you can get a pair of side windows for a land rover (which are sadly way to big for the hijet) for £43!
