***SOLD Hijet EFI 16v 2002 Dual Fuel LPG/Petrol MOT and TAX SOLD***

I am selling my van due to the fact that I cannot afford to run a van and a car!

So the Hijet:

White HiJet EFI 16v 2002 dual fuel

- 69K miles
- MOT until October 2013
- Taxed until October 2013
- Professionally tinted rear window
- Thatcham category 1 toad alarm professionally fitted alarm with immobiliser (2 fobs and certificate)
- LPG Prince system (congestion charge exempt) with oringinal manual
- Very good condition rear loading area with wooden cutout to cover carpet
- 4 Good Tryes
- Full Service History
- Overall a very clean van with great condition bodywork

I am an honest seller and so I like to list all known issues:

- Van needs a key for rear lock, previous owner fitted a padlock to replace key. This is an easy fix, just need a lock and a key.
- Fuel gauge not working correctly. Always indicates a 1/4 full. LPG gauge works fine.

Price: £1100 or nearest offer.

Was in Southampton at the weekend! Very easy to get to Didcot!

For info, have replaced the Engine Temperature Sensor and no more engine light! Yipee!

So now the only issue is petrol gauge and boot lock (no key) but padlock in place - probably more secure

Think I will put it on ebay midweek...

And 4x4 hijets are rare, and a few odd people are desperate for them.


I say its worth near £2000 or even more.

Right, have just had it confirmed that this is not a 4x4 to those interested, however, this is a fine example of a HiJet Dual Fuel!

Not a problem my Friend. We all have to learn -- and most of the time the hard way and          (speaking from experience ) are often left with egg on our face. 
Thankfully with age and self confidence I can just laugh at myself and know I am a silly old Plonker that should have known better. 

Simon, dont ever get embarrassed about making a mistake. My Parents made a mistake --- they had me!!! But I am damn glad they did. 

I seriously believe that you are never too old too learn ( except for one certain Item on here
but we wont talk about that as I have just about conquered it ). 

I think that the younger generation have a lot to teach us old un's and I am never too proud 
to learn from them so keep smiling son and keep learning .

I assume the 4 wheel drive options are a permanent 4 wheel drive then . I would think that they would e a bit thirsty on fuel then ? .

4wd switch on the dash, I find they are not as nippy as the 2wd and the steering is heavier too but they make up for it in mud and snow  

Are all the 4x4's 993cc's ?

There have been some advertised which claim to the 4x4 1.3's

But I've always thought it must be a data error.

So the 4wd is engaged electrically? I'd presumed it'd be a Land-Rover type lever for some reason.

I think it is some kind of vacuum engagement locking system??????

Definitely made in 1300 version as at Easter I won one on E bay --a non running pickup that had done only 
23000 miles  in Anglesey for £750 . The guy had two of them and the second one he sold for 
£1100. He hadnt got a clue what they were worth as originally we agreed on £600 but someone
bid £700 and I won it for £750. Oh yes Both were 02 plate purchased from a local council.
